Chestertown, Md. – Stockton University (7-7-3) took a break from conference play for a road trip to Maryland where the Ospreys played their final non-league game of the season and tied Washington College (4-5-4) 1-1. Both goals were scored in the first half.
Stockton got off to a fast start as freshman
Logan Shaw (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) potted her third goal of the year just 2:03 into the match.
Allie Magas (Lambertville/South Hunterdon) and
Sydney Williams (Millville/Millville) both assisted on the tally.
Paige O'Connell tied the game for the Shorewomen with 17:50 remaining in the first half. In addition to the tie on the scoreboard, the statistics were almost even. Stockton outshot the home team 10-9 and had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Megan Brady (Rockaway/Morris Knolls) played goal for Stockton and made four saves. Hailey Sharpe countered with three stops for Washington College.
Stockton will continue a stretch of four games in eight days with an NJAC match at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
