Stockton Plays Scoreless Tie with Rutgers-Camden

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (10-4-3, 2-3-2 NJAC) controlled the play but was forced to settle for a 0-0 tie with Rutgers-Camden (6-7-5, 3-2-2 NJAC) in a key conference game. The Ospreys were hoping to move up the NJAC standings but the tie left them outside playoff position with two games to go.

Stockton was on the attack throughout the match and generated numerous quality chances. The Ospreys outshot Rutgers-Camden 18-6 overall, including 7-1 in shots on goal, and also generated 12 corner kicks.

Brendan Deal (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) was robbed twice by Scarlet Raptors' goalkeeper Sean Boen, with one stop coming on a diving save. Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) and Sean O'Leary (Bordentown/Bordentown) were credited with four shot attempts apiece, with two on goal by Hoenisch.

Stockton goalie Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) needed just one save to earn his sixth shutout of the season. Boen was the key player for Rutgers-Camden by a wide margin, making six saves to keep the Ospreys off the board in the 0-0 draw.

After playing its final home game of the regular season, Stockton will play its last two matches on the road, starting with an NJAC tilt at Ramapo on Saturday at noon.
