Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (8-7-4, 3-3-2 NJAC) potted all three goals in the first half and captured a 3-0 win over Ramapo (4-9-0, 1-7-0 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Allie Magas Lambertville/South Hunterdon),
Sophia Drea (Holmdel/Holmdel) and
Grace Tecce (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks South) tallied the markers for Stockton.
The Ospreys were off and running 3:59 into the contest when Magas took an endline pass from
Heather Bertollo (Hawthorne/Hawthorne). She hit the top right corner for her second goal of the season for a 1-0 lead.
In the 16th minute Drea gave the home squad a two-goal advantage, when her shot deflected off a Ramapo defender and into the net to make it 2-0. Stockton finished off the scoring when Tecce floated a shot that eluded the Roadrunners goalkeeper for a 3-0 margin.
Kate Samuels (Pennsville/Pennsville) picked up her third helper of the year on Tecce's first career goal.
Neither team scored in the final frame as the squads substituted liberally and the final score was set at 3-0 in favor of the Ospreys.
Megan Brady (Rockaway/Morris Knolls) earned the win, playing the first half without making a save. Freshman
Catherine Goger (Kenilworth/David Brearly) kicked out two shots in capturing the combined shutout.
Emma Conlan made six saves in net for Ramapo.
Stockton will finish the regular season with a match against Rowan on Wednesday night. Game time is set for 5 pm in Glassboro, NJ.
