Allentown, Pa. – Stockton University (20-8) finished the regular season with two victories in a tri-match at DeSales University. The Ospreys swept Neumann University (11-18) 3-0 and then topped DeSales (17-13) 3-1.
Haley Green (Springville, Utah/Maple Mountain) led the sweep of Neumann with 10 kills followed by
Teleyah Witherspoon (Hackensack/Hackensack) with seven kills.
Aubrey Rentzel (York, Pa./Central York) and
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) dished 17 and 15 kills respectively.
Jaylah Rolle (Williamstown/Williamstown) tied for match-high honors with four blocks and tallied five kills with no errors on nine attacks (.556 hitting percentage). Rentzel and
Paige Anania (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) scooped seven digs apiece. The set scores were 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.
Green powered the offense past DeSales with 13 kills.
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) smacked 11 kills and fellow freshman
Camille De La Torre (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) added nine kills with zero hitting errors. Mendick topped the Ospreys with 23 assists and Rentzel dealt 16 helpers.
Anania tallied 14 digs and Louer snagged 13 digs for her sixth double-double of the season. Stockton captured the first two sets by identical 25-20 scores. DeSales won the third frame 25-23 but the Ospreys clinched the victory by winning the fourth set 25-23.
Stockton is the No. 2 seed for next week's NJAC Tournament. The Ospreys will host the winner of Kean-Ramapo in the NJAC semifinals on November 3.
