Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (9-3-2, 1-2-1- NJAC) scored four goals in the first 26 minutes and earned its first conference win of the season with a 5-1 triumph over William Paterson (4-6-1, 1-3 NJAC).
Joseph Carbone (Pequannock/Pequannock) led the Ospreys with two goals and an assist.
Brendan Deal (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) and freshman
Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) each contributed a goal and an assist.
Hoenisch finished a nice give-and-go with
Antonio Matos (Hammonton/St. Augustine Prep) to give Stockton an early 1-0 lead just 7:25 into the game. Carbone later sparked an outburst of three goals in five minutes with his first tally of the game on an assist by Deal at 20:21.

Just 15 seconds later, Carbone lofted a pass that sent Deal in alone, and the senior chipped a shot over WPU goalkeeper Thomas Hatch for a commanding 4-0 advantage.
In the second half, Diego Navas got the Pioneers on the board at 64:58. Stockton tacked on a late goal with 2:39 remaining as Hoenisch sent the ball across the goalie box for an easy tap-in by fellow freshman
Mohammed Bangoura (Jersey City/Hudson Catholic) to cap the 5-1 victory.
Stockton goalkeeper
Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) made three saves to collect the win. Hatch finished with two saves for William Paterson.
Stockton will play its next two matches on the road, starting with an NJAC tilt at The College of New Jersey on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
