Galloway, N.J. – Four Stockton University student-athletes received weekly awards from their respective conferences for the period of February 21-27. In men's lacrosse,
Dante Poli (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) was chosen CSAC Player of the Week and
Logan Holleritter (Oak Ridge/Jefferson Twp.) was selected CSAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Kadian Dawkins (Eastampton/Rancocas Valley) was named NJAC Player of the Week in men's basketball and
Darren Wan (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) was tabbed NJAC Field Athlete of the Week for men's track & field. Wan and Poli each received their third career weekly accolade. Dawkins and Holleritter snagged their first weekly awards.
Poli totaled five goals and three assists for eight points in the first two games of the season. A CSAC Honorable Mention selection a year ago, he also registered six ground balls and four caused turnovers in two games as Stockton spilt their first two contests of the year. He led the Ospreys in goals and points during the two games.
Holleritter topped the team with 11 ground balls and six caused turnovers in the two games played. His best outing came against Elizabethtown when he had seven ground balls and four caused turnovers in the 11-9 victory.
Dawkins had a spectacular week in helping the Ospreys to the NJAC Tournament title. He averaged 20.3 points, 5.3 assists and 6.7 rebounds per game and pilfered four steals in the three games last week. The junior shot a tremendous 68.8 percent (22-32) from the field that included 10-16 (62.5%) from behind the arc.
Wan won the weight throw at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet last weekend with a toss of 17.66 meters, besting nine other competitors by over two feet. His throw was just two centimeters off his own school record set in February 2020, and it moved him up to 21st in NCAA Division III this season.
