Cherry Hill, N.J. – Stockton University finished fourth in the grand final of the varsity eight on day two of the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River. The Ospreys posted a time of 7:55.95.

Lorelei Hendricks (Burlington/Doane Academy) served the coxswain for the Osprey eight. Stockton finished well ahead of Bryn Mawr B (8:23.37) and Catholic University B (8:48.33) but behind Ithaca (7:21.53), Bryn Mawr A (7:25.08) and Catholic University A (7:49.34) in the field of six.
Stockton qualified for the grand final with the third-fastest time in heats that were held yesterday. In today's grand final, the Ospreys faced a pair of familiar opponents in Bryn Mawr and Catholic University, both of whom competed in the Stockton-Brigantine Boat Race last weekend.
Stockton will have some time off to prepare for the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships, which will be held in Fairfax, Va. on May 1.
