Galloway, N.J. –Stockton University women's tennis teammates
Sarb Devi (Galloway/Absegami) and
Lily Muir (Robbinsville/Robbinsville) were chosen
NJAC All-Conference in singles for 2022 season. Devi collected her second straight all-conference nod in singles to go with one in doubles last year. Muir received all-conference recognition for the first time.
Muir and Devi, both sophomores, occupied the top two spots in the singles ladder for Stockton this year. The pair led Stockton to a 4-2 record in conference play and the No. 3 seed for the NJAC Tournament, in which the Ospreys are playing a semifinal at No. 2 seed New Jersey City this afternoon.
Muir went 3-3 in her six NJAC matches at No. 1 singles. All three of her defeats came against players who also received all-conference accolades. Devi was 4-2 in six league matches at No. 2 singles, with both of her setbacks coming against fellow all-conference selections. She was chosen NJAC Player of the Week on April 4.
Overall, Devi has notched 10 singles wins on the year while Muir has posted seven victories in singles play to spark Stockton to an 11-3 record in 2021-22 that marks the squad's highest win total since the 2013-14 campaign (11-5).
