Shahyan Abraham (Orange/Orange) was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete to highlight a collection of eight Ospreys who received
New Jersey Athletic Conference honors in women's track & field. Abraham also led the group with three all-conference accolades.
Abraham earned an NJAC First Team spot in the shot put (13.52m) after winning the event and setting a new school record at the NJAC Championships. Abraham also was NJAC Second Team in the discus (41.40m) and hammer throw (46.02m) with runner-up finishes in both events. All three of her distances were personal bests.
Susann Foley (Tabernacle/Seneca) won the high jump (1.65m) at the NJAC Championships to grab the NJAC First Team nod in that event for the third time ('22 outdoor, '22 indoor, '21 outdoor). Foley's all-conference honor was the fifth of her career (four First Team, one Honorable Mention).
Jeanmarie Harvey (River Edge/River Dell) was NJAC Second Team in the pole vault (3.35m) with a runner-up finish at the conference meet. Harvey's all-conference award was the fifth of her career (one First Team, two Second Team, two Honorable Mention).
Olivia Harris (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake) garnered NJAC Second Team as the runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase (11:54.11) at the NJAC Championships for her third career all-conference honor in track & field (one First Team, two Second Team). Harris also is a two-time NJAC all-conference runner in cross country.
Rodina Hewedy (Manalapan/Manalapan) snagged her first career all-conference spot with NJAC Second Team in the javelin (34.02m) by virtue of her runner-up finish in that event at the NJAC Championships.
Jessie Klenk (Somerdale/Sterling) snagged NJAC Honorable Mention status in the 1500m (4:51.80) by finishing third at the conference meet. Klenk upped her career total to seven all-conference honors in track & field (two First Team, one Second Team, four Honorable Mention) plus two NJAC First Team kudos in cross country.
Khristina Washington (Hammonton/Hammonton) qualified for NJAC Honorable Mention in the triple jump (10.60m). Washington is now a five-time all-conference performer (one Second Team, four Honorable Mention).
Kierstin Clem (Voorhees/Eastern) was NJAC Honorable Mention in the 10,000m (41:59.80), earning her second all-conference spot in track & field (one First Team, one Honorable Mention) to go with a pair of NJAC First Team honors in cross country.
