Galloway, N.J. – Four Stockton University women's lacrosse players received all-conference recognition from the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the 2022 season. Seniors
Michelle Pascrell (Howell/Freehold Twp.),
Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach/Toms River South) and
Kylie Evans (Marlton/Cherokee) were voted NJAC First Team.
Fellow senior
Casey Shultz (Sewell/Washington Twp.) was selected NJAC Honorable Mention. The quartet led Stockton to a 9-8 record and the No. 3 seed for the NJAC Tournament this season.
Pascrell ('22, '21 First Team, '19 Honorable Mention) and Shultz ('22, '19 Honorable Mention, '21 First Team) each collected all-conference accolades for the third time in their careers. Toal ('22 First Team, '21 Honorable Mention) received her second all-conference nod and Evans earned her first all-conference honor.
Pascrell had a monster season, setting school records for goals (53) and draw controls (74) to go with a team-high 64 points plus 49 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. The midfielder ranks second in the NJAC in goals (3.12/game) and third in points (3.76/game) plus sixth in draw controls (4.35/game) and ground balls (2.88/game).
Pascrell became Stockton's career leader in goals (133), points (163) and draw controls (130). She also finished her career second in program history in ground balls (121), tied for third in assists (30) and fourth in caused turnovers (61).
Toal ended her career on a high note with 30 goals and 10 assists for 40 points and set new Stockton records for ground balls (50) and caused turnovers (34) in a season. She ranks third in the NJAC in caused turnovers (2.00/game) and fifth in ground balls (2.94/game).
Toal exits the Stockton program third in goals (80) and caused turnovers (63), fourth in points (104), fifth in assists (24) and draw controls (86) and sixth in ground balls (91).
Evans had a stellar season on defense with 42 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers, which ranked second on the team behind Toal. She is tied for eighth in the NJAC in caused turnovers (1.41/game) and ninth in ground balls (2.47/game).
Evans also etched her name in the Stockton record books, tying for sixth in caused turnovers (49) and ranking ninth in ground balls (75) during her career.
Shultz had another fine season with 32 goals and 21 assists for 53 points, tying for the team lead in assists and finishing second on the Ospreys in goals and points. She ranks fifth in the NJAC in assists (1.24/game).
Shultz leaves the Stockton program as its career assists leader (66) and also second in goals (93) and points (159) behind Pascrell.
