Chester, PA – Stockton University (6-3) saw their five-game winning streak come to a halt as Widener University (7-2) downed the Ospreys 2-0 on Tuesday evening. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for the home squad.
Alexandria Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) led the Ospreys with three of the seven shots on the night.

The Pride opened the scoring in the second quarter potting both goals in the period. The last marker came just 51 seconds before the break. Stockton registered just three shots on net in the game, one each in the first three quarters of play.

For Widener, Juliana Sanchez, assisted by Jesse Schlosser, and Makenzie Adamson scored the tallies. Goalkeeper Lilly Rejrat made three saves in posting the shutout.

The Ospreys will return home to face William Paterson in their NJACÂ opener on Saturday. The game is scheduled for 12 p.m. at the Stockton Turf Field.
