Haverford, PA –Stockton University (0-3) suffered a pair of setbacks on day two of the Haverford Invitational. The Ospreys dropped the first match to the host Fords (2-1) by a 3-1 score. Stockton was edged by just two points in the second (25-23) and fourth (26-24) sets.
The Ospreys then fell 3-0 to Cabrini, with two of the three sets ending 25-23 in favor of the Cavaliers.
Haley Green (Springville, UT/Maple Mountain) was selected to the All-Tournament Team after totaling 41 kills in the three matches.
In the opening match of the day, the Fords took control early, capturing the first two sets before Stockton responded. A 25-18 third frame set up a thrilling final set that unfortunately slipped by the Ospreys 26-24.
Green led the squad with a career-high 19 kills. Freshman
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) added 11 kills, three blocks and a pair of aces.
Aubrey Rentzel (York, PA/Central York) topped all players with 26 assists and five aces while also chipping in with eight digs.

Regan Mendick (Newark, DE/Red Lion Christian) dished a career high 20 assists with
Molly Eng (New Providence/New Providence) tallying a team-high 17 digs plus six assists, and three aces.
Green paced Stockton with nine kills while Rentzel and Mendick contributed nine and six assists respectively in the three-setter against Cabrini. Eng scooped 22 digs followed by Mendick with 10 digs.
Teleyah Witherspoon (Hackensack/Hackensack) registered five blocks and
Jaylah Rolle (Williamstown/Williamstown) added four blocks.
The Ospreys will be off until next Friday, September 9 when the team will face FDU-Florham in Madison, NJ for a 4 p.m. match.
