Hoboken, N.J. – After starting the season with two tournaments, Stockton University (0-1) played its first dual match and fell to Stevens (1-0) 9-0.
Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) nearly earned a team point for the Ospreys at No. 1 singles.
Pasquale dropped the first set 6-2 but evened the match by winning the second set 6-4. The junior then was downed 10-5 in a super-tiebreaker. Freshman
Lauren Theophall (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) nearly forced a tiebreaker but suffered a 6-1, 7-5 setback at No. 5 singles.
Stockton will compete for the final time during the fall semester when the Ospreys host Baruch College on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
