Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (1-0) used a big fourth quarter to down Penn State-Harrisburg (0-1) by a 62-46 score on Wednesday night in the season opener for both teams.
Skylar Fowlkes (Vineland/Vineland) topped four Ospreys in double figures with a career-high 13 points.

The contest started slowly with the Lions forging a 10-6 lead after one period of play. The Ospreys started to find their footing during the second period in which they outscored the visitors 17-6 to take a 23-16 lead at the break.
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) led the way with six points, with
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) adding five markers.

Stockton took advantage of foul trouble by the visitors in the third quarter, hitting 11-13 free throws (84.6%) in adding to their lead at 42-34 heading into the final stanza.

The home team ran off 13 consecutive points during a four-minute stretch of the fourth quarter to open up a 53-40 lead. Three-pointers by Fathi,
Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) and
Madison Dulude (Sewell/Washington Twp.) keyed the run that pushed Stockton to the 62-46 victory.
