Collegeville, Pa. – Stockton University was one of more than 20 NCAA Division III teams that competed in the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College. The meet featured those Ospreys who were not in action at the NYU DIII Invitational last night.
Joseph Morales (Toms River/TR North) won the pole vault for the second straight week (4.40m), finishing atop a field of 19 vaulters. Freshman
Madelyn Valasek (Medford/Shawnee) was the top women's finisher for Stockton as she placed third out of 30 runners in the 3000m (11:00.44).
Kierstin Clem (Voorhees/Eastern) finished fifth out of 25 runners in the 5000m (19:47.73), followed by teammate
Guinevere Kennedy (South Amboy/South Amboy) in sixth place (19:52.53).
Quamora Proctor (Barnegat/Barnegat) placed seventh out of 39 in the weight throw (12.54m) and
Meredith O'Donnell (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) was seventh out of 20 in the triple jump (9.90m).
Alicia Klotz (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) finished eighth in the pole vault (2.75m).
For the Stockton men's team,
Max Klenk (Somerdale/Sterling) placed fourth in the pentathlon (2,073 points). Freshman
Shane Moore (Burlington/Burlington Twp.),
Ian Adjangba (Howell/Howell),
Kevin Simpson (Sewell/Washington Twp.) and
Breyon Mosley (Pennsauken/Pennsauken) teamed for fifth place out of 17 teams in the 4x200 relay (1:38.17).
Luke McBrearty (Hammonton/Hammonton) finished eighth in the pole vault (3.95m) as well.
Stockton's next meet with by the Big Apple Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. on Saturday, February 11.
