Stockton Downed by Hot-Shooting TCNJ

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (12-11, 7-9 NJAC) fell victim to a three-point shooting barrage by The College of New Jersey (15-8, 10-6 NJAC) in the first half and was unable to recover, falling 60-35. Stockton entered the game having won two straight and four of their last five.
 
Adriyana Jennings (Camden/Winslow Twp.) led the Ospreys with eight points followed by Madison Dulude (Sewell/Washington Twp.) with seven points and a game-high eight rebounds. Madison LaRosa (Oceanport/Shore Regional) netted six markers for Stockton.
 
In the first half, TCNJ shot a blistering 8-11 (72.7%) from beyond the arc while Stockton went just 4-24 (16.7%) from the field, resulting in a 35-15 deficit at the break. LaRosa led the Ospreys with six first-half points and Dulude grabbed six of Stockton's 11 rebounds in the first two quarters.
 
The Ospreys were unable to make up any ground in the second half. Jennings sank two three-pointers and Jade Mendoza (Downey, Calif./Absegami) hit one trey in the fourth quarter, which was Stockton's best offensive period of the game The Ospreys put 15 points on the board in the final stanza but fell 60-35.
 
Julia Setaro went 3-3 from beyond the arc and scored a game-high 15 points for TCNJ. Nina Branchizio went 4-6 from three-point range to finish with 12 points for the Lions.
 
Stockton will play its final home game of the season on Saturday when the Ospreys host New Jersey City at 1 p.m.
