Stockton Tops Loras 7-2

Hilton Head, S.C. – Stockton University (4-1) produced its second straight 7-2 victory during spring break as the Ospreys won five out of six in singles and two of three in doubles against Loras College (Iowa) (10-6).

Lily Muir (Robbinsville/Robbinsville), Sarb Devi (Galloway/Absegami) and Carlee Cristella (Mantua/Clearview) led the way with wins in singles and doubles. Muir and Devi won singles matches 7-5, 6-4 and 6-2, 6-3 respectively while Cristella outlasted her opponent 6-3, 4-6, 10-3 in a super-tiebreaker.

Audrey van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) rallied for a 1-6, 6-2, 12-10 victory in a super-tiebreaker. Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 singles triumph.

Muir and Devi paired for an 8-5 win in doubles while Cristella joined Kierstyn Fenimore (Tabernacle/Seneca) for an 8-4 doubles conquest.

After a day off tomorrow, Stockton will take on Edgewood College (Wis.) at 9 a.m. on Wednesday in Hilton Head.
