Aston, PA – Stockton University (3-3) lost an early lead and fell to host Neumann University (2-5) by an 18-6 drubbing on Tuesday afternoon. Reigning NJAC Rookie of the Week
Kevin Novobilsky (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) had three of the Ospreys' nine hits in the game.

Stockton grabbed an early 1-0 advantage in the top of the first when Novobilsky doubled and scored on a
Max Kaplan (Wall/Wall) RBI. The Knights took a brief lead in their half of the second at 2-1 before the Ospreys knotted the game the next inning.

With the bases loaded,
Jordan Nitti (Hamilton/Steinert plated the marker with a sacrifice fly. The top of the fourth saw Stockton score three more times as
Nick Avagnano (Paramus/Paramus) came around on an RBI by
Tucker Elder (Ewing/Ewing). Novobilsky tripled to plate two more and the visitors had a comfortable 5-2 lead.

Neumann came within one in the bottom of the fourth frame to close within 5-3 before the game got out of control for the Ospreys the next inning. The Knights sent 17 hitters to the plate, scoring 13 runs on seven hits, against three Stockton pitchers to take a commanding 16-5 lead after five innings.

Two more runs for the home team offset one for the Ospreys and the game ended after seven innings 18-6 in favor of Neumann.

Elder and Novobilsky batted in a pair of runs each for the Ospreys, with
Michael Antonucci (Manasquan/Manasquan) scoring twice. Freshman
Antonio Sansone (Middletown/Middletown North) started on the hill and tossed the first three innings, scattering four hits and allowed two runs with four strikeouts, but did not figure in the decision.

Stockton will head to Auburndale, Florida for eight games over spring break next week. The first game for the Ospreys will be Saturday afternoon against Beloit College. First pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
