Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (10-3, 1-1 NJAC) fell to #4 The College of New Jersey (12-2, 4-0 NJAC) by a score of 16-2 on Tuesday night.
Emily Deworsop (Monroe Twp./Monroe Twp.) and
Aubrey Giordano (Mt. Olive/Mt. Olive) tallied the markers for the Ospreys. The Lions are ranked #4 nationally by the IWLCA.

The visitors used a methodical offense in scoring the first four goals before Marinello, on an assist from
Lucy Sullivan (Lafayette Hill, PA/Plymouth Meeting), put Stockton into the scoring column for a 4-1 deficit after one period of play.

The Lions shut out Stockton during the second frame, while tallying five more goals for a commanding 9-1 advantage at the break. Deworsop got Stockton's second goal to open the third quarter, on an assist from
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell), to inch closer at 9-2, but that would be as close as the Ospreys would come.

The Lions would score the final six markers in the 15-2 loss for Stockton.

Goalkeepers
Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) and Daniella Elliott (Wayne/Wayne Valley) each played a half, with Hawkes making seven saves and Elliott one.
Meghan Pellegrino (Somers Point/Mainland) led the defense with two caused turnovers and
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) had three draw controls.

Eight different Lions scored goals in the contest, led by Anna Devlin with four goals and seven draw controls. Ally Tobler scored four times with one assist for five points, with Anna Wright adding three goals.

Julia Charest started in net for TCNJ making three saves. Hailey Wexler finished up making one stop.

Stockton will travel to Montclair, NJ on Saturday for their next match against the Montclair State Red Hawks. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm.
