Fairfax Station, Va. – Bolstered by the program's first-ever gold medal in the varsity eight at the MARC regatta, Stockton University finished as the runner-up in the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships. The performance equaled Stockton's best ever at the MARC Championships, which came in 2021.
The Ospreys narrowly missed out on their first MARC title and NCAA Championship berth as they registered a team score of 35, which was just a single point behind conference champion Washington College (Md.), who earned an automatic bid to the NCAA regatta.
The varsity eight won the grand final by eight seconds with a time of 7:19.6 under the direction of coxswain
Lorelei Hendricks (Burlington/Doane Academy). Earlier in the day, Stockton qualified for the final with the fastest time (7:22.5) out of nine crews in two heats.

In the second varsity eight, the Ospreys finished third with a time of 7:53.0 with
Kelley Mason (Manhattan, N.Y./St. Vincent Ferrer) as the coxswain.

Stockton also rowed in the varsity four, placing fifth at 9:16.4.
In conjunction with the MARC Championships, the conference awards and all-conference teams were selected. First-year head coach
Chris O'Brien was voted MARC Coach of the Year and four Ospreys from the varsity eight received honors.
Latshaw, Hartzell and Schina all were selected All-MARC First Team. Baldwin was chosen All-MARC Varsity Second Team and All-MARC Novice.
Stockton will compete once more this season, in the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia on May 12-13.
