Glassboro, N.J. – Stockton University (12-5) played a strong first half but was knocked out of the NJAC Tournament in the semifinals with a 15-6 setback at Rowan University (14-4). The Ospreys were the No. 3 seed while Rowan was the No. 2 seed.
Lexie Jackson (Barnegat/Barnegat) scored two goals for Stockton.
Mary McLaughlin (Somers Point/Mainland) chipped in with a game-high five draw controls plus one goal, one assist, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Lucy Sullivan (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) followed with one as Stockton jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Profs responded with two goals late in the first quarter and four in the second for a six-goal spree that put Stockton behind 6-3.
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) halted Rowan's run and McLaughlin struck with 1:14 left in the second period to get the Ospreys within 6-5 at the half.
Stockton was unable to sustain the momentum after the break. The Profs netted six goals in the third quarter while holding the Ospreys scoreless. Freshman
Brianna Robinson (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) broke through for a goal with 6:23 left in the game that ended a 24-minute drought but Stockton was ousted from the NJAC Tournament 15-6.

Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) made a season-high 13 saves, one off her career best.
Meghan Pellegrino (Somers Point/Mainland) paced the defense with game highs of five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
For Rowan, Molly Green registered four goals and three assists followed by Jamie Cutrera with four goals and one assist.
Despite the outcome, Stockton had a superb season under first-year head coach
Denise Roessler. With several players assuming expanded roles from last year, the Ospreys produced the second-best win total in the program's 10-year history with 12 victories, the most since the 2016 team set a school record with 13 wins.
