Galloway, N.J. – Six members of the Stockton University women's rowing team qualified for 2023 CRCA Scholar Athlete status from the
Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.
Izabelle DelRoss (Egg Harbor City/Cedar Creek), the lone senior on the team, qualified along with five juniors.
Jordan Barikian (Cape May/Lower Cape May),
Amber Hartzell (Merchantville/Haddon Hts.),
Emily Latshaw (Toms River/TR South),
Kelley Mason (Manhattan, N.Y./St. Vincent Ferrer) and
Madelynn Schina (Somerdale/Highland) joined DelRoss as Stockton's CRCA Scholar Athletes. The six Ospreys were among over 1,000 honorees from 111 institutions in all three NCAA Divisions.
To qualify, rowers must have been in at least their second year of eligibility, posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and rowed in an NCAA-eligible boat for a minimum 75 percent of the team's spring races or rowed in a conference championship or the NCAA Championship.

Hartzell, Latshaw and Schina added the CRCA Scholar Athlete nods to All-Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference First Team, MARC All-Academic and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District accolades. DelRoss also was a MARC All-Academic performer.

Those four rowers comprised half of a varsity eight that went unbeaten in the spring, winning all eight races that they rowed at six regattas including gold medals at the Dad Vail, MARC Championships and Knecht Cup. The Stockton varsity eight also finished 12th in the final cMax rankings for Division III.

Barikian and Mason also collected MARC All-Academic spots in the spring. Mason served as the coxswain and Barikian was one of the rowers for Stockton's second varsity eight at all six regattas in 2023.
