Stockton Records Third Straight Shutout, 4-0

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (3-2) recorded its third straight shutout victory with a 4-0 win over Immaculata University (1-3). The Ospreys scored once before a 90-minute lightning delay with 4:32 left in the second quarter and added three more goals in the second half.

Miana Alessandroni (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) scored two goals and Allie Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) contributed a goal and an assist. Ameera Bilgrami (Voorhees/Eastern Regional) potted her first marker of the season.

Palumbo scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year on a high backhand shot in the second quarter. Palumbo later fed Alessandroni for her first tally of the night with 4:22 remaining in the third period to double the lead to 2-0.

Alessandroni netted her second of the night and third of the season on a rebound just 1:44 into the fourth stanza. Bilgrami scored on a penalty corner in the final minute as she received the insert from Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) and blasted a shot home from the top of the arc to cap the 4-0 victory.

Stockton goalkeeper Hannah Ayari-Dias (North Caldwell/West Essex) needed just one save to record her second career shutout. Ayari-Dias has not allowed a goal in her last 187 minutes played. The Ospreys outshot Immaculata 24-2, with Mighty Macs goalie Julia Levase making nine saves.

Stockton will be home again on Wednesday for a matchup against Albright College that begins at 5:00 p.m.
