Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (9-7) was downed 3-1 by Widener University (9-6) in a close match at The Sports Center that included 40 ties and 18 lead changes in the four sets. The Ospreys won the opener 25-21 but dropped the next three 25-20, 25-21, 25-23.
 
Camille De La Torre (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) tied her career high and led all players in the match with 13 kills. 
Rileigh Wilson (Milton, Del./Cape Henlopen) and 
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) added eight kills apiece, with Louer also scooping 17 digs.
 
McKenna Ritchie (Newark, Del./Newark Charter) snagged a match-high 30 digs and 
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) contributed 24 assists plus eight digs. 
Aubrey Rentzel (York, Pa./Central York) finished with 17 assists and a match-high four aces.
 
Five kills by 
Nicole Palmer (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) and four by De La Torre powered Stockton to victory in the first set. The second set featured 10 ties and seven lead changes before Widener prevailed behind an 8-2 closing run.
 
Two kills apiece by Wilson and De La Torre helped the Ospreys to a 9-3 lead in the third stanza. The advantage grew to 13-7 but the Pride outscored Stockton 18-8 the rest of the way. De La Torre spiked five kills in a tight fourth set that was tied 12 times, however Widener again closed strong, using a 5-2 spurt to end the match.
 
Shannon Toomey paced the Pride with 10 kills and Megan Barthol totaled 30 assists and 21 digs. Rachel DiCarlo registered 20 digs and five assists for Widener.
