Philadelphia, Pa. – Stockton University began the 2024-25 season by rowing in three events at the Navy Day Regatta on the Schuylkill River. The Ospreys were one of just three NCAA Division III teams competing primarily against Division I squads.
 
The varsity eight of Megan Baldwin (Brigantine/Holy Spirit), Lex Zang (San Carlos, Calif./Carlmont), Maggie Dunn (Haddonfield/Haddon Twp.), Emily Little (Wildwood/Wildwood), Lexi Kripetz (Clinton/Voorhees), Ashley Timm (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT), Breanna Blisard (Galloway/Cedar Creek), Sydney Rowand (Barrington/Haddon Hts.) and coxswain Leilani Moreno (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) finished 24th with a time of 17:31.94.
 
Alyssa Hakim (Morrisville, N.C./Homeschool), Katie Kurtz (Galloway/Cedar Creek), Erin O'Brien (Edgewater Park/Burlington City), Riley Deschenes (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.), Emma Dyrsten (Sparta/Sparta), Reese Weirick (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley), Kimberly Canelas (Galloway/ACIT), Maria Fazio (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forrest Hills Northern) and coxswain Thalia Gonzalez (Moorestown/Moorestown) finished 13th in the women's JV eight with a time of 18:07.31.
 
Five freshmen finished fourth in the novice four with a time of 19:07.88. Gonzalez served as the coxswain while Dunn, Hakim, Hannah Sherwood (Burlington/Doane Academy) and Natalie Warrick (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) rowed for the Ospreys.
 
Stockton is slated to compete once more this fall, at the Head of the Schuylkill on October 26.
