Galloway, N.J. – Two Stockton University student-athletes were chosen for NJAC awards for the week of April 8-15. Carlee Cristella (Mantua/Clearview) was selected NJAC Player of the Week in women's tennis and Charli Czaczkowski (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) was named NJAC Player of the Week in softball.
 
Cristella went 3-0 at No. 3 singles and 3-0 at No. 2 doubles with partner Jamie Theophall last week. In singles, Cristella won 6-2, 6-2 against Neumann, 6-1, 6-0 versus Rutgers-Camden and then 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) against Pratt Institute.
 
The sophomore joined Theophall for a pair of 8-0 shutouts against Neumann and Rutgers-Camden followed by an 8-7 (7-2) triumph versus Pratt. For the season, Cristella is 6-2 in singles play and 6-5 in doubles matches with a three-match winning streak in each.
 
Czaczkowski led the Ospreys in batting (.538), hits (7), RBI (5), slugging percentage (.917) and on-base percentage (.538) in two NJAC doubleheaders last week. The third baseman stoked multiple hits in three of the four games and reached a milestone to cap her successful week.
 
Czaczkowski went 2-3 in the opener against #13 Rowan University on April 9. The junior then went 2-3 with a double, two RBI and a run in the first game against William Paterson on Saturday. In game two, Czaczkowski slugged her first home run of the season and followed with her 100th career hit to cap a 3-4, three-RBI performance.
 
Czaczkowski raised her average to .305 with two doubles, one home run, 12 RBI and 11 runs while starting all 24 games at third base for the 14-10 Ospreys.
 
Stockton Women's Tennis will play at Ramapo on Wednesday and then finish the regular season by hosting Kean on April 21. Stockton Softball will play road doubleheaders at Rutgers-Camden tomorrow and Gwynedd Mercy on Thursday before hosting #22 Ramapo on April 20.
