Ewing, N.J. – Stockton University (7-4) fell to The College of New Jersey (16-2) 5-0 in the championship match of the NJAC Tournament. The Lions topped Stockton in all three doubles matches and the first two singles matches to be completed for the 5-0 final score.
Stockton played in the NJAC title match for the first time since the inaugural conference tournament in 2021. The Ospreys were trying to dethrone a TCNJ program that now has won 40 NJAC championships and shared one in the 41 seasons that women's tennis has been a conference sport.
Stockton finished the season with seven victories, led by a pair of NJAC All-Conference players in
Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) and
Kierstyn Fenimore (Tabernacle/Seneca).
Carlee Cristella (Mantua/Clearview) topped the team with eight singles wins followed by Pasquale with seven.
Pasquale won a team-high 11 doubles matches while playing with two different partners. Cristella and freshman
Jamie Theophall (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) were Stockton's top doubles tandem with seven victories as a pairing.
