Pennsauken, N.J. – Three Stockton University crews rowed on the first day of the Dad Vail Regatta, which is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States. The Dad Vail is taking place on the Cooper River this year.
Two Stockton boats competed in the time trial of the DIII Eight. The Osprey varsity eight finished third out of eight with a time of 8:18.425 that was just four seconds out of first place and two seconds out of second place.

Marissa Martinelli (Burlington/Burlington Twp.),
Ashley Timm (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT),
Megan Baldwin (Brigantine/Holy Spirit) and
Sydney Rowand (Barrington/Haddon Hts.) comprised the varsity eight.
Lorie Hendricks (Burlington/Doane Academy) was the coxswain. The Ospreys will row against second-place Bryn Mawr, sixth-place RIT and seventh-place Simmons in a semifinal tomorrow at 10:08 a.m.
The Stockton second varsity eight placed fifth in the same heat of eight teams with a time of 8:26.993 under the direction of coxswain
Kelley Mason (Manhattan, N.Y./St. Vincent Ferrer). The Ospreys will row in a semifinal against first-place St. Mary's (Md.), fourth-place Franklin & Marshall and eighth-place Marietta tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

Jayne Seitz (Cape May CH/Cape May Tech) rowed for the second varsity eight.
In addition to the two eights, Stockton also rowed in two races of the DII/DIII Four, placing eighth out of 10 at 9:27.111 in the time trial and then fourth out of six in its semifinal with a time of 9:41.400.
Emma Dyrsten (Sparta/Sparta) was the coxswain for the Osprey four, which will compete in the DII/DIII Four final tomorrow at 9:44 a.m.

Lexi Kripetz (Clinton/Voorhees),
Katie Kurtz (Galloway/Cedar Creek) and
Emily Little (Wildwood/Wildwood) rowed for Stockton in the varsity four.
Stockton will finish the 2023-24 season by rowing on day two of the Dad Vail Regatta tomorrow morning.
