Overview
Stockton Men's Lacrosse went 11-8 in 2024 and finished with a double-digit win total for the eighth consecutive full season under the direction of head coach
Kevin Zulauf (excludes 2020-21 COVID years). The Ospreys began the campaign with a five-game winning streak, and six of their eight defeats came against teams that were ranked in the USILA national poll at gametime.
Stockton finished third in the Coastal Lacrosse Conference behind a pair of teams ranked in the top six nationally (Salisbury, Christopher Newport) and reached the semifinals of the CLC Tournament. The Ospreys excelled in tight games, winning four out of five that were decided by two goals or less.
Seventeen players saw action in at least 18 games, led by nine who started at least 18 contests. Five Ospreys scored over 20 goals on offense and three players registered over 20 caused turnovers on defense.

Highlights
- Reegan Capozzoli led the Ospreys in goals (43) and points (52) on the way to his third straight all-conference honor. Capozzoli scored at least three goals in a game seven times and finished ninth in the CLC in goals (2.26/game). He reached the 100-goal mark for his career vs. Scranton (2/28/24) and finished his career seventh in Stockton history in goals (140) and ninth in points (190).
- Tyler Horvath led the CLC in ground balls (9.74/game) and faceoff wins (303) and finished third in the conference in faceoff win percentage (.600). The senior ranked third in the nation in faceoffs taken (505), fifth in faceoff wins (303) and 17th in ground balls.
- Horvath ended his career as one of the top faceoff specialists in NCAA Division III history, ranking sixth all-time in faceoffs taken (1,598), seventh in faceoff wins (983) and 14th in ground balls (983).
- Connor Albrecht led the team in assists (22), finished second on the squad in points (50) and scored 28 goals. Albrecht registered at least three points in nine games, highlighted by career highs of five goals, including the OT winner, and eight points in Stockton's 17-16 triumph over Kean (4/6/24).
- Brenden McSorley, a three-time all-conference defender, started all 19 games and finished ninth in the conference in caused turnovers (1.47/game). McSorley was second on the team in caused turnovers (28) plus third in ground balls (44). He moved into seventh in Stockton history with 72 career caused turnovers and scooped 124 ground balls in 65 games as an Osprey.
- Shane Phillips excelled as a long-stick midfielder in his first season at Stockton after transferring from Cabrini. The sophomore played in all 19 games, finishing third on the team in caused turnovers (24) and fourth in ground balls (40) while also netting five goals at the offensive end.
- Noam Levy-Smith filled the stat sheet in his role as a short-stick defensive midfielder. In 19 games, Levy-Smith placed fourth on the Ospreys in caused turnovers (13) and fifth in ground balls (36) to go with seven goals and four assists for 11 points on offense.
- Matt Gibson led the team and finished seventh in the CLC in caused turnovers (29; 1.53/game) Gibson started every game on defense and scooped 33 ground balls. Jared Long joined Gibson and McSorley as the starting defensive trio. Long recorded 23 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
- Freshman Alex DeLierre had a strong rookie season as he finished second on the team in goals (33) and third in points (46) while also dishing 13 assists. DeLierre had at least three points in a game seven times including a career game with seven goals and one assist for eight points against Elizabethtown (3/6/24).
- Colin Hopkins had the best offensive season of his career, placing third on the team in goals (31) and assists (14) plus fourth in points (45). Hopkins started all 19 games and produced at least three points in 11 of them.
- Brendan McHale finished second on the team with 20 assists to go with 15 goals for 35 points. Hayden Smallwood pumped in 22 goals and dealt six assists for 28 points. Liam DiFonzo (12 G, 5 A), Ethan Fought (10 G, 6 A) and Tommy Vandegrift (6 G, 7 A) also chipped in offensively while playing in at least 18 games apiece.
- Freshman goalkeeper Ben Blum made his first six appearances in net as the backup and later started the final six games of the season. Blum compiled 81 saves and a .438 save percentage in 434:23 of game action. The rookie made a career-high 14 stops against Montclair in the first round of the CLC Tournament.
- Steven Woolery finished second on the team with 46 ground balls to go with nine caused turnovers, five goals and three assists. Connor Jablonski added 26 ground balls and seven caused turnovers while playing a defensive role in all 19 games.
