Galloway, N.J. - A total of 121 Stockton University student-athletes qualified for the 2023-24 New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for their work in the classroom. Women's soccer player Emily Hauck (Lebanon, Pa./Northern Lebanon) and baseball player Max Kaplan (Wall/Wall) collected NJAC All-Academic First Team recognition.
 
Baseball player Reece Miller (Toms River/TR East) and women's basketball player Emma Morrone (Maywood/Hackensack) received NJAC All-Academic Second Team accolades. In addition to Hauck, Kaplan, Miller and Morrone, 117 Ospreys met the requirements for NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention spots.
 
To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in a conference-sponsored sport and have a minimum 3.20 grade point average. Stockton is an NJAC member in 16 of its 19 sports, all except men's lacrosse, women's golf and women's rowing.
 
Hauck was a United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV Second Team and NJAC Second Team selection as well as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree this year. The midfielder started all 19 games for the Ospreys, tallying one goal and four assists for six points.
 
Kaplan was an NJAC First Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District outfielder who batted .308 with 32 runs, 25 RBI and four home runs. He finished second in the NJAC in hit by pitch (17), sixth in on-base percentage (.478) and 10th in walks (27) as well as second on the team in on-base percentage and slugging percentage (.474).
 
Miller became the first Osprey ever to be voted NJAC Fireman of the Year. The closer also was chosen ABCA Region 4 Second Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District. Miller led the NJAC and ranked sixth in NCAA Division III in saves with eight, the second-highest season total in Stockton history. He posted a 2-0 record, 26 strikeouts and a 2.91 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched.
 
Morrone earned NJAC Honorable Mention and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. The guard placed fourth in the NJAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.4), fifth in assists (3.5 apg) and eighth in steals (2.0 spg). Morrone led Stockton in assists and steals while also finishing second on the team in scoring (8.2 ppg) and rebounds (5.5 rpg).
