Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (1-1) played solid defense in the second half but fell to #4 Salisbury University (2-0) by a score of 6-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Sea Gulls are nationally ranked in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III National Coaches Poll.

The visitors scored two goals in the first quarter, then put the match away with four more tallies in a span of 8:24 in the second period for the six-goal margin.

Stockton's defense was able to keep Salisbury off the board in the second half, highlighted by a defensive save by
Kaelin Drey (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) in the final 32 seconds of the contest.

Stockton had five shots for the match, with three being on net by
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional),
Kiera Lyons (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) and
Riley DeMarco (Hammonton/Cedar Creek) but could not hit the back of the cage.

Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made seven saves in net for Stockton.

Kaitlyn DeModna scored two goals for Salisbury with Marli McDorman dishing a pair of assists. Abby McIlvain started in net playing the first half and gaining the win with one save. Merfie Lawson finished the game making two saves to preserve the combined shutout.
