Galloway, NJ –Stockton University (4-2-1) won their third straight game, all by shutout, with a 1-0 victory over Marywood University (3-2-1) on Saturday afternoon.
Kylee Reissek (Newfield/Delsea) tallied the lone goal on the day for the Ospreys.
Â
The match was evenly played throughout the day, but Stockton was able to break through at the 11:26 mark of the first half.
Â
With the Ospreys pushing on offense,
Emily Hauck (Jonestown, PA/Northern Lebanon) fired a crossing pass that found a streaking Reissek heading for the net. Her header hit the low right corner for her first marker of the season and the 1-0 lead.
Â
From there the Osprey defense tightened and never gave the Pacers good looks on net the rest of the game in the one goal win.
Â
Morgan Keil (Upper Twp./Holy Spirit) made three saves in the game for her third individual shutout of the season. The Ospreys have allowed just four goals in the first seven games while posting five shutouts.
Â
Genevieve Morrison started in net for the Pacers allowing one goal without having to make a save in the first half. Jenna Orr played the final 45 minutes kicking out three Osprey attempts.
Â
Stockton will play the final game of the three-match homestand on Wednesday night, when the Ospreys will face Moravian University. Game time is scheduled for 5 pm.
