Glassboro, NJ – Stockton University (8-7, 4-4 NJAC) saw a late rally fall short, as the Ospreys dropped a 60-55 decision to Rowan University (10-5, 6-2 NJAC) on Wednesday afternoon.
ChiChi Wokocha (Galloway/Absegami) led the Ospreys with 14 points, tying her career high.

With the game tied 2-2 early in the contest, Rowan ripped off the next 10 markers for an 18-8 lead.
Katie Rausch (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) nailed a three ball to make it 18-11 after one frame.

The Profs maintained the lead until Stockton ran off eight straight points, eight by Wokocha, to slice the margin to 29-27. Rowan tallied the final four points to take a 33-27 lead into the break.

Stockton continued to crawl back, finally taking their first lead of the night at 41-40 at the 2:31 mark of period three. Rowan answered with the last six markers to regain the lead at 46-41, heading into the tense final quarter.

The visitors started the final period on a 7-2 run, four by
Skylar Fowlkes (Vineland/Vineland), knotting the game at 48-48 at the 4:57 mark and forcing the Profs into a timeout.

The Ospreys took their last lead of the game at 52-50, but Kate Herlihy scored five straight points to give Rowan a lead they would not relinquish at 55-52 with 2:54 remaining in regulation. The home squad then finished off the five point victory at 60-55.

Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) added 12 points, 10 in the first half and dished a game-high six assists for Stockton. The Ospreys held a 47-33 advantage on the glass with Wokocha and
Grace Speer (Estell Manor/ACIT) tying for team honors with eight boards each. Â
Rowan was led by Kate Herlihy who scored a career-high 33 points, with a game-high six steals. Reagan Russo tied for game-high with eight rebounds.

Stockton will return home to face Ramapo College on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 pm.
