Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (16-6) won a pair of matches on its home court to boost its current winning streak to nine. The Ospreys swept FDU-Florham (12-10) 25-17, 25-20, 25-22 and CCNY (4-16) 25-9, 25-13, 25-16.
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) and
Rileigh Wilson (Milton, Del./Cape Henlopen) led Stockton past FDU-Florham with 11 and 10 kills respectively. Wilson posted a high .348 hitting percentage on 23 attacks.
Kristen Burton (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) handed out 19 assists followed by
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) with 16 assists.
McKenna Ritchie (Newark, Del./Newark Charter) tallied a season-high 17 digs.
Laila Newborn (Lower Merion, Pa./Lower Merion) and
Camille De La Torre (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) led a strong defensive effort at the net with four blocks apiece. De La Torre also spiked seven kills on offense.
Louer led a balanced offense with team highs of nine kills and nine digs against CCNY. Louer and
Lauren Sommer (York, Pa./Central York) served four aces apiece. Mendick dished 13 assists followed by freshman
Naomi Neher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) with a career-high nine assists.
Freshman
Olivia Magro (Brigantine/ACIT) contributed five kills while Newborn and De La Torre added four kills apiece.
