Thompson & Bailey Selected to NFHCA Senior Team

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University field hockey teammates Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) and Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) were selected to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
 
Thompson and Bailey were part of a group of 60 seniors nationally, including six from NJAC institutions, that were chosen for their competitive excellence, leadership and lasting influence within their programs. The honorees were featured in an NFHCA video highlight reel.
 
The midfield duo led the Ospreys to an 11-9 record that was the program's third consecutive season with a double-digit win total. Both players finished their careers as three-time NJAC First Team players who made their mark on the Stockton record book.
 
Thompson, the first Stockton player ever to be voted NJAC Midfielder of the Year, led the Ospreys with 12 goals, 32 points and four game-winning goals while also tying for the team lead with eight assists. The senior finished second in the NJAC in game-winning goals, tied for second in assists plus fourth in goals and points.
 
In three seasons at Stockton, Thompson set a school record with 27 career assists and moved into third in school history in points as well as tied for sixth in goals.
 
Bailey led the Ospreys with five defensive saves, tied Thompson for the team lead with eight assists and finished second on the squad in goals (9) and points (26). The midfielder tied for second in the NJAC in assists, tied for fourth in defensive saves, finished sixth in points and tied for eighth in goals.
 
Bailey ended her four-year career at Stockton second in program history in goals (40) and points (94), third in defensive saves (10) and eighth in assists (14).
