Nine Ospreys Receive Academic All-District Honors

Galloway, N.J. – Nine Stockton University soccer players, six from the women's team and three from the men's team, received Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators for the 2025 season.
 
The women's honorees were seniors Riley Schoka (West Creek/Southern Regional), Carissa Goodwin (Wayne/Wayne Hills), and Logan Shaw (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley), juniors Megan Morris (Sicklerville/Bishop Eustace) and Madison Bjorndahl (Point Pleasant/Point Pleasant Borough) and sophomore Amelia Shappell (Parsippany/Parsippany).
 
The men's selections were juniors Joseph Carbone (East Brunswick/East Brunswick), Noah Jones (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) and Brady Bartletta (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley). Schoka and Shaw received CSC academic recognition for the third time while Jones and Goodwin were selected for their second honor.
 
The requirements for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District are a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and sophomore or higher standing. Student-athletes must have competed in 90 percent or started at least 66 percent of their team's games this season.
 
Shaw led the Ospreys in scoring for the second straight season with seven goals and 15 points, tied for eighth in the NJAC in both categories. The forward, who is majoring in biology, tied for the team lead and tied for fifth in the conference with two game-winning goals. Shaw was an NJAC Second Team selection this year.
 
Schoka, a social work major, was one of just two players to start all 20 games for Stockton. Shappell, who is majoring in business administration, started all 19 games that she played. Goodwin, a business administration major with a dual degree in marketing, played in 17 games with 15 starts.
 
The defensive trio helped Stockton post a 1.35 goals against average and five shutouts. Schoka and Shappell were selected NJAC Honorable Mention for their play this season. Goodwin dished an assist against New Jersey City on October 4 for her first career point.
 
Morris, a health science major, scored three goals and dished four assists for 10 points in 18 games this season, ranking third on the team in scoring. Bjorndahl, a math education major, played in 18 games with eight starts in her first year at Stockton after transferring from Ursinus. She tallied one goal and two assists for four points.
 
Jones, a business administration major, was an NJAC Honorable Mention selection for his work on defense this season. The junior started all 20 games and helped the Ospreys to seven shutouts, tied for the league lead, and an 0.85 goals against average that was second in the NJAC. Jones recorded his first career point with an assist against New Jersey City on October 4.
 
Carbone, a business administration major, started all 17 games in which he appeared, scoring one goal and dishing two assists for four points.
 
Bartletta, also a business administration major, started all of his 14 games played in goal and recorded three shutouts and a 1.01 goals against average that was tied for third in the NJAC. The junior moved into a tie for sixth in Stockton history with 16 career shutouts.
