Ewing, NJ – Stockton University (11-9) fell on a late goal to The College of New Jersey (13-5) by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon in the semi-finals of the NJAC Tournament, on a late goal in regulation. In her final game at Stockton,
Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern) scored the lone goal for the Ospreys who were looking to pull the upset over the #23 ranked Lions.

The home team scored in the first quarter then held Stockton without a shot during the first 30 minutes of play, holding on to the 1-0 margin at the break.

The Ospreys rebounded in the second half, getting off seven shots with five on net. Stockton knotted the match at 53:10 when Thompson blasted a backhander into the net for her 12th goal of the season.

The Lions were able to tally the game winner 1:49 when they inserted a corner to the top of the circle. Isabel Maher tipped in a blast off the stick of Abby Teztlaff for the 2-1 lead. TCNJ ran out the clock as the Ospreys were not able to mount a push for the tying goal.
