Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (20-6, 6-2 NJAC) began the last week of the regular season with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-12 sweep of Ramapo College (16-10, 3-5) for its 13th consecutive win. With the victory, the Ospreys reached the 20-win mark for the 20th time in the last 22 full seasons.
Kate Louer (Clifton/Clifton) led Stockton with a match-high 15 kills and a .433 hitting percentage plus seven digs.
Olivia Magro (Brigantine/ACIT) added six kills and a .400 hitting percentage to the offense.
Kristen Burton (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) dished 19 assists, tying her second highest total of the season.
Regan Mendick (Newark, Del./Red Lion Christian) dealt 12 assists.
McKenna Ritchie (Newark, Del./Newark Charter) led the back row with eight digs while
Lauren Sommer (York, Pa./Central York) served a match-high five aces and added three digs.
The Ospreys broke open the first set with six unanswered points that brought them to set point at 24-16. Louer had two of her four kills during the run.
Louer led the way with five more kills in the second set. Stockton finished strong once again, closing with a 6-2 spurt to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The Ospreys reeled off 16 straight points in the third set, with 15 coming on a serving run by Sommer that featured all five of her aces. Louer spiked six kills during the stanza as Stockton completed the sweep.
Asya Akar paced Ramapo with 10 kills. Katie Bishop handed out 20 assists and Emma Garcia scooped a match-high nine digs.
Stockton will continue its three-match homestand on Friday when they host Salisbury at 6:00 p.m.
