Mahwah, N.J. - Stockton University (19-8) was denied in its bid for a sixth consecutive NJAC championship appearance as the Ospreys were downed 88-81 by Ramapo (20-6) in the semifinal round. Stockton was the No. 3 seed for the NJAC Tournament while the Roadrunners were the No. 2 seed.

EJ Matthews-Spratley (Cherry Hill/CH East) led the Ospreys with a team-high 28 points. Matthews-Spratley hit six three-pointers in the contest.
Eriq Campbell (West Atco/Lindenwold) shot 61.5% (8-13) from the field and scored 22 points.

Christian Armstrong-Thomas (Marlton/Cherokee) produced his first career double-double with 10 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
Logan Mckee (Glen Mills, Pa./Phelps School) also reached double figures with 10 points.

Matthews-Spratley sparked the Ospreys to a 20-10 lead with nine points in the first eight minutes. Matthews-Spratley's scoring binge continued as he netted 20 of Stockton's first 31 points for a 31-22 lead.

Ramapo then outscored the Ospreys 24-10 in the last 8:15 of the half to deal Stockton a 46-41 deficit at the break. Matthews-Spratley finished with 23 first-half points after shooting 6-11 (54.5%) from three-point range.

Stockton pulled within 51-47 on a layup by Mckee early in the second half, but the Ospreys did not get any closer for the rest of the game. The margin reached 13 points with 8:52 remaining and Stockton fell to the Roadrunners 88-81.

Peter Gorman paced Ramapo with a game-high 30 points followed by Anthony Corbo with 16 markers and Shane Rooney with 15 points plus a game-high 13 rebounds.

Despite the outcome, Stockton is projected to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament based on their top 25 ranking in the NPI formula that determines the NCAA field. The bracket will be announced via online selection show at NCAA.com on Monday, March 3 at 1:00 p.m.
