Galloway, N.J. – Three Stockton University basketball players received Academic All-District honors from the
College Sports Communicators for the 2024-25 season. Women's basketball teammates
Imene Fathi (Wildwood/Wildwood) and
Katie Rausch (South Brunswick/South Brunswick) plus men's basketball player
Andrew Crawford (Haddon Hts./Camden Catholic) were the honorees.
Fathi earned the academic recognition for the second straight year while Rausch and Crawford became Academic All-District selections for the first time.
The requirements for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District are a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and sophomore or higher standing. Student-athletes must have competed in 90 percent or started at least 66 percent of their team's games this season.
Fathi, a biology major, was an NJAC Second Team selection after tying for second in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.3) and finishing third in assists (4.1 apg) and fifth in minutes played (31.8 mpg). The point guard led the Ospreys in all three categories plus steals (1.7 spg) while averaging 9.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Rausch, an elementary education major, topped the Stockton squad with 32 three-pointers and averaged 7.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. The sophomore played in 24 games with 16 starts. Rausch scored in double figures seven times, highlighted by a career-high 19 points against Rutgers-Newark on February 1.
Crawford, a business administration major, played in all 28 games with three starts in his sophomore season. The guard finished third on the team with 42 assists and compiled an impressive 2.8 assist/turnover ratio. Crawford was a strong contributor on defense with 22 steals and also sank 10 three-pointers at the offensive end.
