3/31/2025 2:27:00 PM

Galloway, N.J. – Three Stockton University student-athletes were selected for NJAC weekly honors for the week of March 24-30. Senior Nerina Tramp (Blackwood/Highland) was chosen NJAC Pitcher of the Week for softball.

The Ospreys swept the women's tennis awards as senior Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) was named NJAC Player of the Week and freshman Kim Wash (Shamong/Seneca) was selected NJAC Rookie of the Week.

Pasquale collected her fourth career weekly nod, with Tramp garnering the third weekly award of her career. Wash earned her first career NJAC selection.

Tramp had a tremendous week in the circle, winning three times, which included a pair of shutouts. The reigning NJAC Pitcher of the Year started the week by downing Penn State-Abington with a 10-strikeout performance. Tramp then posted back-to-back shutouts over Immaculata and Montclair State. For the week, she tossed 20.0 innings with 27 strikeouts, no walks and a sterling 1.05 ERA.

Pasquale was near perfect on the courts at No. 1 singles last week, dropping just two games. She won 6-1, 6-1 against William Paterson, then posted a 6-0, 6-0 whitewash against Kean. Pasquale also teamed with Wash at No.1 doubles to shutout both opponents 6-0 and 6-0.

Wash, playing No. 2 singles, remained unbeaten thus far with wins by scores of 6-2, 6-2 against William Paterson, then 6-3, 6-1 against Kean. In addition, she teamed with Pasquale for the pair of doubles wins last week.

Stockton Softball (13-7, 1-1 NJAC) will play a pair of conference doubleheaders this week, starting on Tuesday when the Ospreys take on The College of New Jersey in Ewing. The squad will return home for a twinbill against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday.

Stockton Women's Tennis (2-1, 2-0 NJAC) will play four matches this week, with a pair of home matches against Neumann on Wednesday and Arcadia on Friday. The Ospreys will travel to Camden and Ewing on Saturday to face Rutgers-Camden and The College of New Jersey, respectively.
