Ewing, N.J. – Stockton University (6-3) was unable to pull off a massive upset and deny The College of New Jersey (12-6) its 42nd consecutive NJAC title as the Ospreys fell 4-0 in the conference tournament final.
With only four players available, Stockton was forced to forfeit one doubles match and two singles matches.
Arielis Martinez (Millville/Cumberland County Tech) and
Rocio Lucero (West New York/Memorial) won two games in their match at No. 2 doubles.
Sophia Pasquale (Galloway/Holy Spirit) and
Kim Wash (Shamong/Seneca) won two games apiece in their singles matches.
Stockton reached the NJAC championship match for the second straight year and third time in the tournament's five-year history.
