Salisbury, Md. – Stockton University (9-10) fell to second-ranked and undefeated Salisbury University (18-0) 23-3 in the semifinal round of the Coastal Lacrosse Conference Tournament. The Ospreys were the No. 5 seed while the Sea Gulls are the No. 1 seed.
CLC Rookie of the Year
Jack Vandegrift (Jenkintown, Pa./LaSalle College Prep), overtime hero from Sunday's first-round win
Riley Burns (Mullica Hill/Clearview) and defender
Chris Funston (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) scored one goal apiece. Funston also tallied team highs of three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Stockton goalkeeper
Ben Blum (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) reached double figures in saves for the 14th consecutive game with 15 stops as well as a respectable .484 save percentage in 43:22.
Gavin Jackson (Ocean City/Ocean City) stopped three of the six shots on goal that he faced for a .500 save percentage in 3:17.
The Ospreys were within 2-1 after Funston's early goal with 5:37 gone in the first quarter. Salisbury then reeled off 10 straight markers to seize control of the game.
Brice Bromwell and Ryan Della paced the Sea Gulls with three goals and one assist apiece.
The result brought Stockton's challenging, injury-plagued 2025 season to an end. The Ospreys were rarely at full strength, with just seven players appearing in all 19 games. Half of Stockton's defeats,, five out of 10, came against ranked opponents.
