Galloway, N.J. - A school-record total of 143 Stockton University student-athletes qualified for the 2024-25 New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for their work in the classroom. Women's basketball and lacrosse player Brianna Robinson (Cape May Court House/Middle Twp.) and men's cross country runner Erik Ackerman (Long Valley/West Morris Central collected NJAC All-Academic First Team recognition.
 
Women's volleyball and softball player Megan Sears (Oakland/Indian Hills) and baseball player Robbie Ford (Green Twp./Newton) were selected NJAC All-Academic Second Team. In addition to Robinson, Ackerman, Sears and Ford, 139 Ospreys met the requirements for NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention spots.
 
To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in a conference-sponsored sport and have a minimum 3.20 grade point average. True freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible. Stockton is an NJAC member in 16 of its 19 sports, all except men's lacrosse, women's golf and women's rowing.
 
Robinson played 22 games with 13 starts for the basketball team this season, averaging 3.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Her play helped the Ospreys to 11 wins, the fourth consecutive season with double-digit victories.
 
In the spring, Robinson transitioned over to the lacrosse squad, where she scored 14 goals, scooped 14 ground balls and caused six turnovers in 16 games, helping the team to 11 wins and a spot in the NJAC Tournament.
 
Ackerman added the NJAC academic honor to his impressive cross country season in which he was an NJAC First Team member, USTFCCCA All-Region, NJAC Runner of the Week once and USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. He qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second straight year.
 
Ackerman was the top finisher for the Ospreys at all seven meets, highlighted by a win at the Penn State Abington Invitational and runner-up finishes at the NJAC Championship and Osprey Open.
 
Sears played in 19 matches for the volleyball team during the fall, recording 31 kills, 10 digs and 23 blocks. Her efforts helped the squad to 22 wins and a runner-up finish in the NJAC Tournament for the second straight season.
 
In the spring, the senior batted a career-high .304 for the softball team that won 26 games. Sears played 40 games of Stockton's 41 games with 37 starts and totaled 28 hits, including five doubles and one triple, plus 22 runs and 11 RBI.
 
Ford was selected to the ABCA Region 4 All-Defensive Team after compiling a .963 fielding percentage at third base. He started all 37 games in which he appeared, batting .323 with 40 hits, 24 runs, 16 RBI and a team-high 15 stolen bases. Ford finished his career with 138 hits, 88 runs, 81 RBI (10th at Stockton), 39 steals (10th at Stockton) and 22 doubles.
