Glenside, Pa. – Stockton University (1-0) rolled to a 6-1 victory over Arcadia (0-1) in the 2025 season opener. The Ospreys scored twice in the first quarter and later broke the game open with four goals in the third period.
Carlee Thompson (Berlin/Eastern Regional) led Stockton with two goals followed by
Kirsten Bailey (Burlington Twp./Burlington Twp.) with a goal and an assist. Four additional Ospreys scored one goal apiece.
Sophomore transfer
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) opened the scoring with her first career goal 8:36 into the game. Freshman
Mia Collins (Branchburg/Somerville) potted her first career marker just 45 seconds later to make it 2-0.
Stockton kicked off the second half with a goal by Thompson just 1:35 into the third quarter.
Riley DeMarco (Hammonton/Cedar Creek) then made it 4-0 with an assist by
Miana Alessandroni (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson).
Thompson's second goal followed by a successful penalty stroke by Bailey two minutes later upped the advantage to 6-0. Arcadia's Kyra Moyer spoiled the shutout with a penalty stroke of her own with 1:38 left in the game, and Stockton finished with a 6-1 triumph.

Erika Roura (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) collected the win with four saves. The Ospreys outshot Arcadia 32-10.
Stockton will play at third-ranked Salisbury on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
