Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (4-2) saw their three-match winning streak come to a halt as the Ospreys dropped a 3-1 decision to Drew University (3-1) on Sunday afternoon.
Ernst Louisius (Asbury Park/Neptune) scored the lone goal for the home team.
The Rangers struck first at 3:45 for the 1-0 lead on Ignacio Martinez first of two markers on the day. In the 34th minute, Louisius scored on a penalty kick to knot the game at 1-1. It was the second straight game he has tallied on a penalty kick.
The Rangers controlled the game in the second half, scoring twice more while holding Stockton off the board in the 3-1 victory.
Freshman
William Lynch (Bensalem, PA/Notre Dame) put two of the Ospreys' six shots on net.
Brady Bartletta (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) made five saves in the match, as did his counterpart Donovan Friedhoff for the Rangers.
Stockton will play at home for their next match when the Ospreys face Neumann University on Wednesday night. The game is scheduled for 7:30 pm and it will be Prostate Cancer Awareness night at G. Larry James Stadium.
