Stockton Salvages 1-1 Tie with Late Goal

Madison, N.J. – Stockton University (2-1-2) scored with less than 14 minutes remaining to earn a 1-1 tie with Farmingdale State (2-2-1) at the Drew University Fall Festival on Sunday. The result gave the Ospreys a four-game unbeaten streak (2-0-2).

Stockton outshot the Rams 14-8 and held a commanding 8-2 edge on corner kicks for the game but trailed 1-0 after Farmingdale State scored on a free kick at the 63-minute mark. Katie Ambos (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) netted the equalizer with 13:46 remaining in the match.

Ambos got the ball past the drawn-out Rams' goalie with an assist by Madison Bjorndahl (Pt. Pleasant/Pt. Pleasant Boro), who made her way onto the scoresheet for the second straight day.

Stockton goalkeeper Morgan Keil (Upper Twp./Holy Spirit) made four saves in the 1-1 draw, including two in the final minute of play. Rams' goalie Kelsie Feingold limited the Ospreys with six stops.

Stockton will be on the road again on Wednesday for a match at Centenary College that kicks off at 4:00 p.m.
