Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (1-7, 8-3 NJAC) extended their winning streak to four in a 77-56 victory over William Paterson (6-12, 1-10 NJAC). Stockton opened the game with an explosive start and maintained control throughout the game.
With an impressive 41-20 lead at halftime, the Ospreys were led by
Charlie Bell's (Miami, Fla./Florida Christian) 13 first-half points as he went 6-9 from the field.
Justin Harper (Bridgeton/Wildwood Catholic) netted eight points in the period.
The Ospreys outnumbered the Pioneers by 20 on the boards before halftime, collecting a total of 34 rebounds compared to William Paterson's 14.
Eriq Campbell (West Atco/Lindenwold) picked up seven rebounds total in the first half, three offensive and four defensive.
Going into the second half, the Ospreys kept up the momentum. grabbing a total of 36 points. Stockton led by at least 19 for the entire period and coasted to its fourth straight win, 77-56.
The Ospreys had seven players score at least five points in the game and put up 25 total points from their bench.
Tayvon Gaither (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) went almost perfect from the field at 8-9 (88.9%), getting 10 points in the second half and leading the game with 16 total.
Bell added 15 points and Harper finished with 13. The Ospreys also played well on the defensive side, finishing the game with six steals and 37 defensive rebounds, led by Campbell who grabbed a career high for rebounds with 12 total.
The Pioneers' Jack Gobel had a strong showing with 14 points, four rebounds and two steals. Ethan Paul added nine points for WPU.
The Ospreys look to continue the winning streak on Wednesday with a game at 7:00 p.m. away versus The College of New Jersey.
