Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (7-2) scored the first six goals of the game and rolled to a 19-5 victory over Messiah University (3-4) in the back half of a women's/men's lacrosse doubleheader at the Stockton Turf Field. The Ospreys exploded for 15 goals in the first half.
Alex DeLierre (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) tied his career high with seven goals and
Liam Humphrey (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) dished a career-high four assists.
Colin Wagner (Birdsboro, Pa/Daniel Boone) and
Josh Graham (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) each scored three goals.
Wagner scored twice during the 6-0 start and DeLierre potted his second marker in the final minute of the opening period to make it 7-1. With his first save of the game, Stockton goalkeeper
Ben Blum (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) became the eighth goalie in Stockton history to reach 400 career saves.
DeLierre pumped in three more goals and Graham added two during the second quarter as the Ospreys extended their advantage to 15-3. Stockton doubled Messiah 4-2 during the second half, with DeLierre potting two markers to bring his total to seven as the Ospreys coasted to the 19-5 triumph.
Fourteen different Stockton players registered points in the blowout.
Cole Blum (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) controlled the faceoff spot, winning 16 of 24 draws and grabbing 12 ground balls to go with a goal and an assist.
Ben Blum finished with seven saves in the first half followed by
Tyler Sininsky (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) with three stops in 23:39 and
Will Kasica (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) with two saves in 6:21.
Bobby Berg paced Messiah with four goals and an assist. Falcons' goalie Jourdain Algarin made 20 saves.
