Baseball
Tim Welsh (Allentown/Allentown) pitched five scoreless innings versus Ramapo College. Welsh allowed zero runs, two hits and one walk while striking out five batters for the pitching win. For the week, Welsh went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 8.0 innings pitched.
Joe Gmitter (Hamilton/Steinert) led the team for the week with an impressive 10 hits. Gmitter batted an average of .455 and grabbed two triples, and three RBI to finish off the week.
Softball
Camryn Harry (Swedesboro/Paul VI) led the team in hits last week with nine and batting average with .571. Harry also collected five runs, two doubles and four RBI to her impressive week.
Casey Sokol (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) pitched her first career no-hitter and struck out six batters in Stockton's 11-0 win at Rutgers-Newark. Sokol retired 15 of the 16 batters that she faced.
Women's Track and Field
Emma Petrolia (New Milford/New Milford),
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan),
Jessica Bruther (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) and
Kayla Kass (Bayonne/Bayonne) finished second out of nine teams in the 4x400 CTC at the Penn Relays on Friday. (3:59.55).
Emma Conroy (Matawan/Matawan),
Isabel Duval (Old Bridge/Old Bridge),
Adrienne Austin (Hainesport/Rancocas Valley) and
Cameron Radcliffe (Pt. Pleasant/Pt. Pleasant Boro) finished 15th out of 20 in the 4x100 Eastern (49.24 seconds). Their time was the fastest by a Stockton 4x100 relay team this season and just one hundredth of a second off the school record.
Men's Track and Field
Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) placed second out of 29 in the long jump at the TCNJ Rick McCorkle Invitational on Friday with a distance that is tied for 13th in the nation (7.29m). Fogg also finished seventh in the high jump (1.89m).
Joe Franzello (Cape May/Lower Cape May) finished eighth out of 29 throwers in the shot at the TCNJ Rick McCorkle Invitational on Friday, beating his personal best by 44 centimeters (14.37m).
Women's Golf
Elenora Byrne (Princeton Jct./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) finished eighth out of 41 golfers in the Conquer the Island tournament with an 85. Byrne birdied two par-fives and made five pars on the day, shooting a 44 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine.
Ava Kinkler (Northfield/Mainland) tied for 17th place with a 95. Kinkler made a birdie on the par-five third hole on the way to a 49 on the front nine and later added two pars while shooting 46 on the back nine.
Women's Lacrosse
Isabella Marinello (West Caldwell/Caldwell) scored four goals and broke the school record of 133 career goals. Marinello also dished out four assists for a game-high eight points in the 19-4 win over Ramapo. She finished the week with team highs of five goals and five assists for 10 points.
Anissa Serafine (Tabernacle/OLMA) had the team's second highest points last week with six. Three out of her four goals came against Ramapo, where Serafine also picked up two assists.
